Fragments- during the quiet transition
A collection of fragments on awareness, presence, and daily life — written in English and Chinese.
1
Not dramatic
Nothing dramatic happened.
There was no clear moment
that could be called awakening.
Just a gradual sense
that something unnecessary
was no longer being carried.
2
A small confusion
For a while
there was a strange uncertainty.
Not suffering.
Just a question quietly floating:
what happens
when the mind stops organising everything?
3
Old habits still appear.
Trying to analyse.
Trying to improve.
Trying to reach clarity.
But they lose energy quickly.
4
Slightly slower
Responses become a little slower.
Not because of confusion.
Because there is suddenly
space to notice the moment
before speaking.
5
Nothing to report
When people ask,
“What have you been doing recently?”
it becomes difficult to answer.
Not because nothing happened.
But because nothing
needs to be emphasised.
6
A quiet neutrality
Events still happen.
Good news.
Small frustrations.
But they pass through
more lightly.
7
Attention rests more often
in breathing,
in posture,
in the quiet movements of the body.
Not as a practice.
Simply because
nothing else is demanding it.
8
The background
Sometimes a soft ease appears.
Not happiness exactly.
More like the background
of the day
becoming wider.
9
The mind adjusting
The mind occasionally
tries to rebuild a story.
“What does this mean?”
But the question
does not stay long.
10
No urgency
There used to be
a sense that something important
needed to be achieved.
That urgency becomes faint.
11
Small amazement
Sometimes there is a quiet surprise.
How ordinary the day is.
How complete ordinary moments feel.
12
A light distance
Occasionally
there is a subtle feeling:
as if life is happening
very close,
yet not entirely inside the old identity.
13
Nothing final
This stage
does not feel like a conclusion.
More like a doorway
that has quietly opened.
14
The simplest thing
Breathing.
Walking.
Children playing nearby.
Nothing needs to be added.
No conclusions, no systems — just moments appearing and fading.
