Most days, unless there is somewhere we need to be,
he moves through the day in his own rhythm.

Books for a while.
Then drawing.
Then blocks.
Then something else entirely.

No one decides when one interest should end
and another should begin.

Attention seems to gather by itself.

For some time, one thing becomes the whole world.
Then, without announcement,
the centre shifts.

What looked important yesterday
may quietly disappear today.

We do very little teaching.

Questions arrive first.

What is this?
Why does that happen?
What does this word say?

Explanation comes after curiosity,
not before it.

One day, letters simply became interesting.

There had been no plan.

Then suddenly, everywhere we went,
he began noticing the few letters and words he knew,
finding them on signs, books, packages, walls.

As if the world had quietly revealed
a layer that had always been there.

In a relaxed state,
learning does not always look like learning.

Something is noticed.
Something is repeated.
Something connects with something else.

Then one day,
what seemed scattered has already grown into form.

Perhaps knowledge can grow like this—
less like something placed inside,
more like something living
finding its own direction.
